I'm Jon Wilcox, a graphic designer and art director. I've been working as a visual artist for over a decade, and have experience as a freelancer and in fast-paced agency environments where I've also managed other designers.
I enjoy drawing and try and bring it into most of my work. I like to balance clean, clear design with fun, illustrative touches that make the end product feel more rich and unique. I specialize in 2D art and design, including posters and flyers, logos and branding, infographics, UI/UX for the web, social cards and ads, print design, storyboards and concept art, and drawing. I'm also familiar with photography, motion design, painting, and traditional printing techniques like screen printing and letterpress.
As a freelancer, I have been able to work with great clients including CBS Films, Comedy Central, Rutgers University, GOOD Inc, Seattle Weekly, Time Out Chicago, the Chicago Children’s Museum and many others. I’ve also produced concept art and designs for the films The Kings of Summer (2013) and Kong: Skull Island (2017).
Originally from the Metro Detroit area, I now reside in Northern Virginia. When I’m not drawing or designing, I may be riding my bike or making music.
